What to Do if an Electric Shock Accident Happens?

An electric shock is a serious accident that can even be fatal. Although it is dangerous to life, we can prevent it and respond correctly and safely in such situations.

Let’s take a look at how to handle an electric shock and how to prevent it:

  1. First and foremost, to minimize danger, choose products that meet standards and have the Industrial Standards Institute (ISO) certification mark.
  2. Never touch electrical outlets with wet hands or any part of your body that is wet, as it can lead to an electric shock.
  3. If a light switch is damaged, it should not be used any longer, as the deterioration of the product increases the risk of an electrical leak.
  4. If you encounter someone who has been electrocuted, do not touch them directly. Not only will you be unable to help the person, but you could also be shocked yourself. What you should do is wear rubber gloves before touching the person who has been electrocuted, or use any insulating object, such as cloth, to assist the person safely.
